For thirty years, the African-American community of the Wharton School has celebrated and memorialized the contributions and ideals of Whitney M. Young, Jr. An educator, humanitarian, author and civil rights leader, Young dedicated his life to enabling and empowering African-Americans in the nation’s economic and political systems. For more than two decades, he led the Urban League in its efforts to improve the economic status of African-Americans. Art Street has created the materials for this prestigious event since 1999 (also see related pages).
